Experienced Freelance Groom

Professional mobile groom  with 25 years industry experience, working with horses of all types. 

My main areas of expertise are clipping, trimming and sheath / hygiene cleaning, but hot bathing & other grooming services are also available. 

Covering Greater Manchester, Cheshire & the High Peak.  I occasionally go further afield, depending on the circumstances. 

Always reliable, friendly and known for my patience with tricky horses. First timers are always welcome. 

I aim to make every appointment simple & stress free for all concerned. 
I clip to an exceptionally high standard whether your horse is competing at HOYS or an elderly horse needing a welfare clip. I put 100% into everything I do. 
For my hygiene cleans I bring everything with me including the hot water, so you have nothing to prepare in advance, and i provide you with an emailled report afterwards including any photos or diagrams if relevant. 

I'm always happy to chat and advise on anything horse care related where I can, or will signpost when appropriate.  

Personally, I've been a horse owner for almost 50 years now. I have previously worked as a BHS welfare officer and also trained as a ride safe trainer. 
I'm a life long learner - currently studying for level 5 diplomas in Equine Therapeutics and also Equine Reproductive Physiology which should be completed soon. 
I also have a HND in Pharmaceutical Science which can be useful when looking at products like lotions, potions and other medication that we may use on our horses. 

Recently, I've been very lucky to discover I am one of the four shortlisted  finalists for the 2025 Equestrain Business Awards "Groom of the Year"
