ROUK/BHS Scotland Blackford Estate Ride

Join BHS Scotland for a self -guided (we signpost the route) ride in beautiful Perth and Kinross and enjoy a circular 12km to 15km ride on grassy drove roads, through small farms and fields, and quiet roads (with wide grassy verges) under the watchful eye of BHS Scotland. We shall be on hand to marshal the ride, provide safe parking and provide plenty of encouragement.
The route is steeped in history and you will enjoy beautiful views over the Highlands and Strathearn as you trek along the foothills of the Ochils, following in the footsteps of cattle drovers and kings and past the site of the historic ‘Nobleman’s and Gentlemans’ seats at Carim Lodge, formerly one of Scotland’s finest shooting lodges.
Times will be issued on the Thursday before the ride via the email provided in your booking. Riders will go out in small groups and the ride is limited to 100 people.
Parking & start point will be at Burnside of Blackford, signposted from the A9 and A823 Ryder Cup Roundabout – the same one you leave the A9 for Gleneagles. The ride will be sign posted from here. You pick up the Bardrill road and BHS signage here. There will be no direct access to the ride from the A9, all ride traffic will enter and leave by the Gleneagles roundabout where the estate link road is narrow and winding. Bardrill Road has a 7.5t weight limit bridge, if that is going to cause a problem, please contact BHS office in advance.
All lorries to be in the field by 11.30am as at that point we reverse the one-way system on the small country road so that lorries and trailers don’t meet head to head and in order to take our ride traffic on and off the A9 safely.
Entries: £30 per rider - all proceeds to BHS Ride Out UK.
All bookings are subject to a small booking fee to cover the booking and payment processing charges.
