This training day is for anyone looking to improve their depth of coaching knowledge and skill, the day counts as 6 CPD points.

The day is for anyone looking to improve their depth of horse knowledge and equitation, it is also aimed at anyone looking at or studying for BHS Stage 4, Performance (BHSI) Assessment (Eventing or Dressage specific) or Pony Club A/AH exams.
Open to coaches, trainers, students, and horse owners/riders.
It is also suitable for Coaches who are preparing candidates for assessment and Coaches looking to further their skills and understanding with groups and individual riders.
The day is planned to be informative and interactive, with plenty of opportunity to discuss what we observe.
The focus of the day is on flatwork for education, training and competing. Using the Training Scale (The Scales of Training) to educate the rider to develop the horse’s flat work towards the next level.
Programme
9.30am Register
10am Introduction to the day.
10.15am Looking at coaching a group of everyday riders working up to novice level.
(Stage 3)
11.30am Focus on and educate the rider working at Elementary level (Stage 4)
12.30pm Lunch
1.30pm Focusing on the training of horse & rider combination, working and training
at elementary level.
2.30pm Looking at the competition horse and rider combination competing at the
higher levels (Performance Level BHSI)
3.30pm Q&A Session
4pm Finish

Times: 9.15 registration, 9.30am – 4pm

- BHS APC £45* (Late entry £55)
- Non BHS APC £55* (Late entry £65)
* + £1.50 Booking fee
